Biography

Nannette McCleary is a Licensed Professional Counselor in WSU Career Services with nearly 30 years’ experience in serving students’ career planning and development needs. She holds a Master’s degree in Counseling and Bachelors of Science in Human Resource Development from Oakland University. Her works history expands education, local government, and health care. Ms. McCleary began working at Wayne State University in 1994 coordinating a state-wide job fair that served thousands of new graduates seeking employment. Currently, she coordinates career planning programs and services for WSU communities that support student success. Her goal is to help students and alumni find their purpose by connecting their academic preparation to their career aspirations. She is active in her profession, has been recognized for her contributions, and continues to present regularly across the state promoting career preparation and providing practical strategies to be competitive in today's economy.
